You Just Lost The Game - Movie Announcement Trailer

We are incredibly excited to announce the title of our latest feature film, You Just Lost The Game (sorry, if you know the reference). In the works for over two years, it’s about time we let you in on our secret project and the reason for the lack of short films over these recent years.

You Just Lost The Game is an action adventure film, both live-action and animation about three young adults who fight for their dreams by battling interdimensional creatures with skateboard swords.

It’s quite a project, and certainly a side step from our recent works. The reason for this is that I’ve been craving making films that I used to make when I was younger. Films that were FUN. That’s exactly what we’re doing with this project while combining what I have learned over the years from my more recent and emotionally impactful movies.

How is the animation done?

The animation for You Just Lost The Game is being done on my phone. You heard right. I’ll be sure to go into more detail about how it’s done in the future.

Why animation and not just live-action?

I have noticed that in each of my films, I always seem to have an element of animation to them. Mixing multimedia into a live-action setting. With this project, I have noticed my trend and am doubling down in my style, so far… absolutely love it. Having the freedom to step fully into the fantastical of animation whenever we want has completely opened up my team’s creativity and we can’t wait to do more!

Why is the film named this?

I apologise to those of you who have been on the internet long enough to know the meaning of the title. However, for those of you who don’t know, it means exactly what is said. Of course, we have done the usual Seb Cox thing and wrapped many metaphors into the film, and the title is no exception. You will have to wait on the true meaning of the title for now.

What’s next?

We currently have all the live-action sequences filmed and in post-production, and have started the animation phase. As I work other jobs, it is difficult to find consistent time to work on the project. In the future, we may be looking for financial support to sustain us while we get the rest of the project completed and with that, you can expect so much more behind the scenes to come.
